Friederike Gösweiner, born in 1980 in Rum/Tyrol, studied German philology and political science. She works as lecturer and literary critic for newspapers and journals (»Die Presse«, »Literatur & Kritik«), also for the Literaturhaus of Vienna. Traurige Freiheit (Miserable Liberty, 2016) is her debut novel, awarded with the Austrian Bookprize 2016 in the category debut.
