Christoph Dolgan, born 1979 in Graz, finished his degree in German literature with a thesis on Leopold Sacher Masoch. His literary works have been published in various magazines, e.g. manuskripte and Schreibkraft.
In 2011, he was awarded the Rotahorn promotion prize. Ballastexistenz (Burdensome existence) is Dolgan’s first book publication, which earned him the manuskripte promotion prize in 2013. The book sketches a fantasy of auto-extinction and doom with deeply unsettling words.
